“There are very few things in my life that have impacted me as much as my experience wrestling at the Air Force academy. The school is tough, the wrestling is tough, and the military training is tough. Thankfully I faced these challenges alongside a team full of brothers. We supported each other through the lows and celebrated the highs. Together, we learned that what we allow and what we don’t allow equals our culture, and our culture is what determines our success. While learning these lessons we were surrounded by senior mentors and world class role models. They created a clear picture of what right looks like and laid out the steps that we must take to get there. After this experience, I was left chasing a similar culture and environment. This is what led me to pursue a career in special operations.”
